How We Raise Our Pups:

Since we are a small boutique breeding program, that allows us to focus on a few litters a year so we can commit our time to making sure each puppy is happy, healthy and thriving. We do this by following a puppy curriculum (Puppy Culture) that exposes them early on (starting day 3) to a variety of sights, sounds, smells and new environments, this is called ENS/ESI (Early Neurological Stimulation & Early Scent Introduction). Exposing the puppies safely to new situations and people, helps them to become a well rounded pup and teaches them that the world isn’t a scary place and that people are kind. Exposure builds resilience and confidence and has shown to improve cardiovascular performance, greater resistance to disease, more tolerance to stress, and stronger adrenal glands and heart beats. We carefully handle the puppies daily, and hold them close to our faces and hearts, performing touch tolerance exercises that will build upon their love for those extra cuddles and snuggles and make grooming and vet visits a breeze. After ENS & ESI, Day 21 starts “Daily Handling Routine” documented on instagram with each pup!

We like that we have set ourselves apart with our “Puppy Theme Days” !!!! Every day is themed with sights, sounds, smells, and visuals. -this starts around 5 weeks old. We have “Puppy Parties” with a variety of people, all shapes, sizes, and ages. We take them on car rides, and stroller rides. They are introduced  to different floor textures, vacuum sounds, and play a soundtrack of all the noises they may encounter in their lifetime, (fireworks, busy streets, doorbells, sports games, action movies) sights include balloons, mirrors, ball pit, umbrellas, Christmas blow ups, etc.

Our motto here besides HEALTH FIRST, is EXPOSURE, EXPOSURE, EXPOSURE!!! In the safest healthiest way possible! Our DNA lines are already 100% clear- health isn’t an issue -real life exposure /fear response WILL be. (fear based response kicks in at 9 weeks old) We run a program with ONLY HEALTHY parentage & puppies, so we get to focus on all the extras. :) They are well socialized by the time they go home with you. We also take them on wagon rides around the neighborhood so they can learn through new sights, sounds, and smells without their paws touching public ground. Observing is the best form of socialization and it’s so fun seeing them so curious. I pour my heart and soul into each puppy! In addition, we carefully temperament test each of our puppies at 7 weeks old before puppy pick day. This helps us match you best to a puppy that would be a great fit for your family and lifestyle and really allows you to see their true personalities and make a decision based as a whole vs a decision made simply on looks and gender alone. We understand you may want a certain gender or color, however, temperament is the most important and should be taken into consideration.  Of course, you can choose any pup you desire. Human focus, an easy going temperament, and health is our top priority in our puppies. There is nothing better than feeling loved and understood with the love and comfort of a dog by your side, and we would love to help you find that here at Clinks!!

Breeding Mamas and Care:

Our Cockapoos, Cavapoos, And Cocker Spaniel moms are part of our family.  A happy healthy mom is so important for having happy and healthy pups. We give them top quality nutrition, frequent grooming and baths, and regular vet checks. daily baths to help with cleanliness when pups are nursing, daily vitamin supplements, temperature checks, and a lot of extra love and grace. The whelping box is in our dog room/whelping room, and also the guest bedroom where we never leave their side. I sleep in the rooms with them the first 2-3 weeks! So we can ensure everyone is thriving. We are always on high alert and will do anything to make sure our moms are safe and comfortable.  We temperature control the whelping room and play soft calming music, and Disney channel. We are preparing them for the healthy exposures to come! We provide warm comfy bedding, and dim the lights for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. After a few weeks, we expand the whelping box and move them to our living room at week 4. Week 4 is a big transition for the puppies since they become more active and need to adjust to new environments,  explore and learn about the world. Being in our living room, the pups don’t miss a beat with their socialization and desensitization to noise, kitchen sounds, vacuums, etc. They are a part of our everyday hustle and bustle and get tons of cuddles. Our moms stay with their puppies until go home day, they nurse them for 5 weeks and then once weaned, they continue to nurture and comfort the pups, they teach them how to interact and accept affection and learn manners. Puppies also learn from interacting and playing with their littermates, and eventually other dogs in the household, especially “Aunt Roxy” our oldest dog. The puppies learn and grow so much in the 8 weeks they are with us. It’s fascinating how quickly they change and blossom into the perfect family pup.

Follow Along:

We want you to feel special and included in the entire breeding process!  We feel that is one of the key differences at Clinks. From moms going into heat, confirmed pregnancy, birth, to the first time the puppies open their eyes, and through their 8 weeks of life spent with us. Everything will be documented so you can follow along on your pups journey. This way you feel like you know your puppy long before they go home with you, as well as getting to know our family and how we raise our puppies. Being a part of the process is a very intimate and exciting experience for new puppy parents, and we love the new relationships we form during this time. Strong relationships with puppy parents is very important to us, as we will always give you a lifetime of support and helpful advice whenever asked!  Whether it’s with a phone call, text, email, or video call. WE ARE HEAR FOR YOU. Also, it is our responsibility to take any of our puppies back at any given time.  Should one of our puppy parents decide they can no longer care for one of our pups. Of course this is not our wish and hope this isn’t the case, but sometimes life happens and we understand. Feel good knowing that your puppy will always have a safe and loving place to return to at Clinks . We also, love getting testimonials and updates with pictures of our past puppies, aka “Pup-Dates”. So please send us all the puppy picture spam, we are here for it!

Health Guarantee:

Food, environment, and exercise ALL play a big role in later in life health issues -which obviously no one can predict -that’s why I only offer a 12 month guarantee, because I’m super confident in my DNA lines- if for some reason, something pops up that was originally listed as a clear disease - before 12 months is over and the Vet has determined it’s due to a DNA genetic reason,, at that time I will give a full refund and take the pup back. But/ our dna lines are tried and true.

What Each Pup Comes With:

Each Clinks puppy comes from Health and Genetic tested parents, with a 1 year dna genetic health guarantee against all life threatening and genetic issues. We recommend giving them NuVet Plus supplements along with the high quality food we currently feed the pups to ensure optimal health.  It’s important to keep them on the same food and regimen to prevent stomach upset, or skin and coat issues. You will never be alone on your puppy journey, as we will be here to help you every step of the way! We can provide you with all the resources you need. We understand getting a puppy can be overwhelming, so we really do our best to help minimize those feelings, and make bringing home your puppy a positive and smooth experience. Each puppy will go home raised on a customized service dog puppy curriculum incorporating Puppy Culture methods as well as our own. The puppies will be dewormed, Litter examined by a licensed veterinarian, first round of vaccinations, and go home with a NuVet Supplement sample, a travel bag of high quality food, pine pellets to stimulate potty, tons of food toppers, toys, and blanket with mom and litters scent, a Clinks puppy guide, and a lifetime of love and support. It is our goal to make this experience for you as special as can be, and we will always have open arms and love for our Clinks Families! We are so glad you are here!
